_The anticipated base pay for this position is between 22$ per hour and 51.50$ per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. - Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress and other in-house tools for end-to-end testing of web applications.
- Test Planning: Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand application requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
- Bug Identification : Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
- Engage in Code Quality Assurance : Participate in code reviews and walkthroughs to ensure code quality and to align with industry standards.
- Test Execution : Perform manual and automated testing to ensure application functionality, performance, and security.
- Test Reporting: Generate and review test reports and provide insights and recommendations for improvements based on test results.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of test processes and methodologies and stay up to date with the latest testing tools and techniques.
Education:
- Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Required:
- Technical Skills : Familiarity with Cypress/Playwright/Selenium and JavaScript/Python for test automation. Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential.
- Database Knowledge : Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL-based databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases.
- Programming Skills : Proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
- Version Control : Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Problem-Solving Abilities : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning and adapting.
- Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate optimally in a team environment.
- Project Experience : Proven experience through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships. Contributions to open-source projects or a personal portfolio are a plus.
- Experience with Software Testing : Previous experience or coursework in Software development or testing projects.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodologies : Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
- Interest in Emerging Technologies : Passion for learning about and working with new technologies and tools.
