Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, a division of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting for a Co-op to join a team focused on cell therapy process development for the development of innovative treatments for cancer. The position is a key part of the API Cell and Gene Therapy Organization located in Spring House, PA site. At the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine of Johnson & Johnson, what matters most is helping people live full and healthy lives. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our API team focused on the development of CAR-T cell therapies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge process development aimed at advancing treatments for hematological and solid tumor malignancies.
- Support process improvement initiatives and assist with technology integration to enhance CAR-T manufacturing efficiency.
- Leading the execution of experiments related to process development.
- Identifying and presenting relevant literature to the project team.
- Collecting, recording, interpreting, and presenting experimental data appropriately.
- Coordinating testing schedules, presenting results, and authoring reports.
- Communicating progress to supervisors.
- Exposure to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams on projects that align with clinical programs and commercial manufacturing goals.
- Graduate Students: Masters or PhD student enrolled in Biological, Biochemistry, Biomolecular Engineering, or another related science field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of immunology, cell therapy or biomanufacturing principles.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous co-op or internship experience is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience with standard laboratory techniques, including cell culture and flow cytometry, is preferred.
- PC-based skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are preferred.
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
