Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Janssen R&D, LLC is recruiting for an Established Products (EP) Medical Affairs (MAF) Co-Op based in Titusville, NJ. EP is a functional area within the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of J&J Innovative Medicine. EP is responsible for the late lifecycle management and optimization of a variety of legacy products across a diverse group of therapeutic areas. The MAF Co-Op is designed for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of MAF within the pharmaceutical industry. In this role, the Co-Op will work closely with MAF and cross-functional teams to support a range of activities, including evidence generation, evidence dissemination, medical education, medical information, medical strategy, and healthcare compliance. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic planning and execution of initiatives that advance scientific knowledge and enhance patient outcomes. Through collaboration with various stakeholders, the co-op will develop essential skills in evidence generation, data analysis, and communication, while fostering a deep understanding of Established Products portfolios and the therapeutic landscape.
  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Work with the MAF leaders and internal/external partners in the execution of specific projects/tasks in the Neuroscience and CardioPulmonary portfolios related to medical education, medical information, evidence generation, and evidence dissemination.
  • Work with MAF leaders in developing and implementing MAF strategies for selected products.
  • Be actively involved in publication planning, publication of clinical findings, and presentations to relevant meetings.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for the evaluation of new product ideas and related new technologies; review medical literature, clinical, medical and market access plans. Qualifications Education:
  • You are enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing MD, PhD, PharmD or any other health care related advanced degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the Biological Sciences with strong clinical and/or research experience in clinical, medical areas is preferred. Experience and Skills: Required:
  • You are passionate about science & operational excellence.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills for developing solutions and meeting project objectives.
  • You have demonstrated ability of critical thinking and prioritization with respect to project objectives.
  • You should have a demonstrated track record of possessing an ability to innovate and generate change and solution-oriented input to address challenges in the workplace and/or academia.
  • You are detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
  • You possess good interpersonal skills and are able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • You must be able to embrace diversity and collaboration in the workplace with an open minded and collaborative approach. Preferred:
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience attending conferences and presenting clinical findings is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working on publications and research studies strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in Epidemiology particularly research activities in Real World Evidence a plus.
  • Additional technical proficiencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems are highly desirable, including experience with PubMed databases and other literature databases.
  • We strongly prefer a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. Other:
  • Demonstrating strong oral and outstanding written communication skills is a plus.
  • Availability to work Full Time and for the total duration of the Co-Op.
  • Able to attend work in person at least 3 days/week in the Titusville, NJ campus.
  • Being legally authorized to work in the United States and not requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future is required.

_The anticipated base pay for this position is between 22.00/hr and 51.50/hr, but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
