What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dean of Students, Meadow Ridge Elementary position at Wayzata Public Schools?
- Student/Family Support: Works with Problem Solving Team to:
- Identify and maintain check-in/check-out system for students-at-risk and process referrals.
- Monitor specific student behavior plans and provide support by monitoring progress, providing student support and connecting with families.
- Connect with families of students who have high truancy due to tardies or unexcused absences.
- Provide student supervision as needed (e.g., recess, field trip, mornings).
- Coordinate or serve as a member of various building teams and provide support and guidance for students in need of intervention (e.g. 1:1 intervention, small group facilitation, large group).
- Coordinate Targeted Services Interventions.
- Other duties as assigned or apparent.
- Teacher Support: Works with Staff to:
- Assist teams with determining strategic interventions for Tier I and Tier II services.
- Assist with the completion of paperwork and documentation for intervention data gathering.
- Provide support to PLC and grade level teams to identify and discuss issues relating to student progress.
- Serve as or support school assessment coordinator.
- Other duties assigned or apparent.
- General:
- Assist with the implementation of operational guidelines in the areas of student activities, field trips, standardized testing programs, student conduct, community involvement/collaboration.
- Attend IEP meetings as administrative representative, as necessary.
- CPI training may be required for this assignment.
- Coordination of testing responsibilities
- Provide positive leadership in MTSS
- Student Intervention

- May provide work direction to non-licensed staff.
