JOB TITLE: MACHINE OPERATOR
DEPARTMENT: MATERIAL PROCESSING
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
DAYS: MONDAY TO FRIDAY (SOME WEEKENDS REQUIRED)
TIME: 1 st shift (OVERTIME AS NEEDED AND APPROVED)
Job Summary
Operation of Woodworking Machinery, including CNC equipment
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following.
Operation of Woodworking machines; CNC machines, edgebanders, moulder, gang saw.
Perform quality checks on parts to ensure machines are runningproperly.
Coordinate flow of material to and from machine area.
Sustain the production schedule
Maintain proper tolerance on machined stock
Feed or catch on machine as needed
Maintain accurate count of items processed.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Safe operation of all equipment
Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: 2-3 years woodworking
Physical mobility sufficient to accommodate bending, reaching, lifting and gripping
up to 50 lbs.
Intermediate math skills to include fractions and decimals, including conversion.
Basic understanding of metric system.
Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. (Word and Excel)
Have good attention to detail
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn quickly and desire to take on new projects.
Must present a professional image.
Team player.
Good safety record.
Training in Lean Manufacturing preferred
Stress Tolerance.
