JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for successful planning, managing, executing and reporting of multiple on-going projects. The Project Manager manages all phases of casework order construction, with responsibility for scheduling, submittals, RFI’s, pay applications, preparation and management of change orders, progress meetings, financial reporting, through to the completion of punch lists and project close out duties. The Project Manager is the primary company representative responsible and accountable for the successful completion of assigned projects, including safety, project costs, scheduling, relationships, market reputation and profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Assist casework customers
- Assure critical tasks are on track
- Ensures projects are documented
- Establishes shipping deadlines
- Create the project timelines and project milestones
- Communicates project status directly to customers
- Work with production to make sure project is on track
- Accountable for all phases of the process
- Coordinate with other areas
- Promote positive company relationships with customers
- Generate “Customer Service Orders”
- Research project files to determine validity of request
- Work with engineering
- Follow up on regular and as-needed basis with dealers
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Sr. Project Manager and Casework Manager
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extreme organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Great communication skills, must be a team player and able to work closely with others
- Strong working knowledge of general computer applications
- Ability to learn quickly and be an effective multitasker to take on new projects as needed
- Must present a professional company image
- Proficient in MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel
- OST and/or Bluebeam experience a plus
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit beneficial
- The ability to travel as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Post High School Degree or related technical discipline preferred
- Previous project management experience highly desired
- Experience in furniture manufacturing or construction is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
