Job description
WB Residential Communities is seeking a Property Manager for an affordable LIHTC and section community located in New Paltz, New York.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Property manager will include but not limited to:
- HR/Payroll management
- Maintains a high level of continued occupancy
- Maintains well-documented tenant files and related documentation regarding application intake, tenant recertification and continuing eligibility in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Interaction with residents; including rent collection, lease administration, annual recertifications and tenant retention.
- Conducts timely property inspections, including move-in and move-out.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports, including but not limited to rent rolls, rent adjustments, tenant list, delinquency reports, list of vacant units and transfer requests.
- Documents and reports all deficiencies, prioritize repairs and follow-up with appropriate personnel to ensure the timely completion of all repairs.
- Weekly/Monthly reporting to corporate & third-party partners.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required:
- Knowledge of local and federal laws.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to manage a property budget and ensure compliance with budgetary concerns.
- Proficient in Yardi, MS Excel and Word, Outlook. Bookkeeping, A/P, A/R and Budgets.
- Certification and working knowledge of LIHTC and HUD
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and self-directed individuals willing to take initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years in affordable property management
- LIHTC certification preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting at $60,500.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm
Work Location: In person.
