Overview
WB Surf Camp is seeking a creative and skilled Staff Residential Videographer to capture the dynamic
experiences of our campers throughout the summer season. Working alongside our residential
photographer, lead videographer, and social media manager, you will document both surf and on-land
activities, producing compelling video content that reflects the spirit and energy of our camp. This role is
integral to our storytelling and marketing efforts, requiring a keen eye for detail, proficiency in video
editing, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
❖ High school diploma or equivalent
❖ At least 18 years of age
❖ Excellent physical condition, capable of working in an active outdoor environment
❖ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
❖ Minimum 2 years of experience in photography, with a strong portfolio
❖ Proficient in photo editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro
❖ Familiar with Dropbox and social media platforms for photo sharing
❖ No conflicting summer commitments, including travel, other work, or leave of absence
❖ Must pass a government background check
❖ Reliable transportation and cell phone
❖ Clean driving record

Equipment Requirements
❖ Professional DSLR camera capable of high-quality video recording.
❖ Minimum 200mm camera lens for capturing surf action from the beach.
❖ A computer capable of handling high-resolution video editing tasks.
❖ Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for efficient editing and organizing of video content.
❖ Preferred but not required: drone experience/ownership and underwater housing for the camera.
Responsibilities
❖ Document the surf and on-land experiences of WB Surf Camp clients with precision and
creativity
❖ Capture daily video footage of campers' surf sessions and on-land activities, ensuring a mix of
action shots and candid moments.
❖ Produce at least one highlight video (~1 minute) at the end of each week, suitable for social
media and marketing purposes.
❖ Edit and organize video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, maintaining consistency with WB
Surf Camp's branding and storytelling style.
❖ Collaborate with the marketing team to align video content with promotional strategies.
❖ Manage and archive video footage systematically for easy access and future use.
❖ Participate in staff training and contribute to on-site activities, ensuring seamless integration of
videography into the camp experience.
❖ Provide ongoing video updates during camp sessions and assist in the creation of marketing
materials as needed.
Compensation
❖ Summer stipend commensurate with experience
❖ Access to pro-deal opportunities on camera gear and related equipment
❖ Ocean-view accommodations and meals during the summer program, valued at an additional $2,000
Position Duration
❖ Programs run from early June to early August, at our camp location in North Topsail Beach, NC.
❖ Mandatory staff training takes place in late May
❖ Photographers are required to stay on-site throughout the camp session
