Job Purpose/Scope: The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in the daily operations of the warehouse. This role involves supervising and coordinating activities of workers related to ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, tools, supplies, equipment, and parts within the stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
Shift: Monday through Friday; 8:30PM to 5:00AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize workload and communicate work orders to ensure timely completion.
- Motivate team members to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Train warehouse staff on processes and procedures for efficient task completion.
- Maintain production, safety, and cleanliness standards within the warehouse.
- Ensure staff completes required annual Safety Training.
- Monitor and prioritize workflow, communicating necessary work orders.
- Coach warehouse staff and participate in process improvements.
- Communicate shift changes and pertinent information to management and next shift lead.
- Stage, load, or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Weigh materials or products and record weight accurately.
- Count materials and complete logs as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience/Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse leadership or a similar management position.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to delegate.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
- Problem-solving skills.
