Yalgo Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our expanding Georgetown office. This role involves overseeing all aspects of residential subdivision design and construction, from initial feasibility through design, construction, and customer support during the sales process.
Responsibilities:
- Project Feasibility: Evaluate project feasibility by optimizing site layouts with site-specific design considerations.
- Infrastructure Design: Oversee the design of roads, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer networks, and stormwater infrastructure.
- Permitting: Oversee the preparation of necessary permitting applications.
- Stormwater Management: Oversee the preparation of stormwater management and erosion control plans.
- Project Completion: Ensure that projects are completed on time and on-budget.
- Submittal Preparation and Review: Prepare and review submittals to guarantee all project specifications are met.
- Job Performance Review: Conduct regular job performance reviews to assess progress and address any issues.
- Plan and Spec Review: Review plans and specifications to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
- Monthly Billing and Forecasting: Prepare monthly billing statements and financial forecasts to track project costs and revenues.
- Quantity Tracking: Monitor and track quantities of materials and work completed to ensure accuracy and control costs.
- Project Reporting: Generate detailed project reports to keep management and clients informed of progress and any issues.
- Job Site Visits and Reports: Conduct regular site visits and prepare comprehensive reports on project status and progress
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on residential subdivision design and land development projects.
- An active P.E. License (Civil Branch), preferably in the state of Texas (with no disciplinary action).
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in overseeing all aspects of land development from feasibility studies to construction completion.
- Strong background in infrastructure design, including roads, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer networks, and stormwater management.
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS
