Position Overview
Desert Winds Recovery is looking for Mental Health Therapists to join our team! Mental
Health Therapists provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of individuals and
groups with mental health, substance use and emotional/behavioral issues.
Responsibilities:
● Utilize knowledge of DSM-5-TR to interpret client diagnosis and translate client data
to develop a plan of care
●Utilize EMR to review client record and document client interaction/treatment
interventions
● Conduct individual psychotherapy using EMDR and incorporating other
psychotherapeutic methods, where appropriate.
● Interact and communicate effectively with all team members in order to provide
effective and compassionate patient care
Required education:
● Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy,
Counseling, or
related field, from an accredited college or university
Required license or certification:
● Licensed in the State of Nevada for: LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, LCADC or CPC-Intern,
CSW-Intern, LMSW (Intern Eligible), MFT-Intern
● Two years of post-EMDR training experience utilizing EMDR methods required.
EMDR certification preferred
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals,
technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and
the general public.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of
Electronic Health Records; Internet software; Payroll systems;
Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

etc.) as it applies to patient care
● Ability to drive a passenger van
● Employee may be required to be exposed to outside elements for prolonged periods
of time
● Must be capable of regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting
and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
