JOB DESCRIPTION
PARK SERVICE STAFF
Status: Seasonal (up to 40 hrs./wk.)
Starting Salary: $13.25/hr.
Reports To: Operations Manager
Classification: Regular - Employee does not routinely have supervisory responsibilities.
The position of Seasonal Park Service staff directly involves but is not limited to the following illustrative duties:
1. Assists with maintenance and construction duties required to operate the Park District efficiently.
2. Performs maintenance duties including: litter/trash collection, mowing and trimming, cleaning restrooms and other buildings, building maintenance, equipment maintenance and service, and assisting with in-house construction projects.
3. Required to operate a variety of equipment, including but not limited to the following; Weed whips, mowers and backpack blowers.
4. Assists park visitors and answers questions when needed. Must be courteous and helpful at all times.
5. Must be able to routinely lift 50 pounds.
6. Wears uniform that will be expected to be kept neat and clean. The uniform must be worn at all times while on duty.
7. Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager that are deemed appropriate and necessary for the position.
8. Must be team oriented and willing to work to build an atmosphere of teamwork in the workplace with staff at all levels.
Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Pay: From $13.25 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
