The Facilities Coordinator will support the effective administration of facility policies and procedures to ensure well-managed, well-maintained, and secure Westby Co-op Credit Union (WCCU) branch locations throughout Southwest Wisconsin. This role will assist in providing a safe, and enjoyable staff and member experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Facilities Manager, perform routine branch assessments and ensure all equipment, systems and properties are maintained and operating within normal parameters.
- Assist in gathering cost estimates for budgetary capital items and improvements.
- Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance to buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, prolonged service life, and appearance, as needed.
- Assist with outside service and repair work of all WCCU properties.
- Assist with maintaining grounds, parking lots, and driveways. Complete snow removal from walkways.
- Weed flower beds and may assist with trimming outside hedges/trees.
- Support the Technology Department with equipment installations and projects, as requested.
- Work effectively with the WCCU Accounting team to process vendor invoices.
- Perform bid analyses and make recommendations on vendor contracts based on cost effectiveness.
- Off-duty response to facilities related emergencies. Contact appropriate personnel in response to emergency situations.
- Pick up litter, both inside and outside.
- May assist with a variety of cleaning assignments, as needed.
- Sets up rooms and areas for meetings and activities.
- Attend training sessions and complete required training in a timely manner. Attend and participate in other group or company meetings as required.
- May also be required to distribute and intercept mail, work with postage machine, and perform various mail room duties as needed.
- Deliver materials to departments and branches.
- Provides back-up courier services, ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies to the Credit Union’s various locations.
- Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary.
Work Relationships and Scope: Reports directly to the Facilities Manager. Will have regular contact with vendors, and all employees across the credit union.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Education/Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar facilities position preferred.
- Familiarity with basic carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to use basic cleaning tools, including vacuums, mops, brooms, and other equipment.
- Ability to read and understand labels & instructions on cleaning supplies & equipment used.
- Familiar and skilled with utilizing a variety of tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Ability to work with a wide range of personalities in a courteous, effective, and efficient manner.
- Excellent communications skills and proven effectiveness when working with members and staff. Ability to remain calm and tactful when addressing sensitive situations with employees and members.
- Skillful listening, comprehension, and speaking ability to quickly decipher the needs of others and relate the pertinent information requested.
- Comprehend consequences of various situations and refer them to the appropriate staff for resolution.
