Shop Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Helper to join our small team specializing in UTV cages, custom projects, mobile welding, and ag equipment repair. The ideal candidate will be assisting with various tasks related to fabrication, assembly, and repairs. This position requires mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with tools. Welding experience is NOT required, but you must be comfortable with power tools.

Duties

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Assist fabricators with assembling and finishing cages
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any issues to supervisors.
• Help with vehicle and equipment repairs
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Utilize forklift equipment for moving materials within the warehouse when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous shop experience is preferred, but we will train the right person.
• Comfortable operating large ag equipment
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is essential.
• Mechanical knowledge is necessary, enabling effective troubleshooting of equipment issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while following safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
• Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work
• Professional appearance (tattoos and piercings are acceptable)

We are located in Harrisburg, OR.

Hours are not set in stone, mostly likely full-time but it is open for discussion.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:
