WCI - Work, Community, and Independence is a private, non-profit agency providing residential and employment/day supports to people with a wide range of intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism and Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

Role: The house manager supports the Division Head/Director in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operation of the group home.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (human services preferred) with at least one year of experience in developmental disabilities and at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Or, Associates degrees in human services or related field and three years of experience in developmental disabilities and at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Or, high school diploma or equivalent and at least four years of experience in developmental disabilities and two years of supervisory experience.
  • Good communication skills, including good writing skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management and people skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Computer literate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using multiple systems (e.g., Log Notes, Staff Communication, Data Collection, Progress Notes, including Confidential, Medical, and ISP Records, Health Care and Financial Reporting System.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Enhance and expand the quality and scope of services.

· Develop and oversee the implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISP).

· Ensure a clean, stylish, efficient running home.

· Supervise and train Residential Assistant Coordinator and Support Specialists

· Support individuals in learning and relearning of skills, working in conjunction with Operations, a Nursing, Clinical, HCPs, OT & PT Team.

· Assist individuals in making choices and to assume as much responsibility as possible.

· Develop social relationships, community interests and reintegration into the community.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Establish a positive, energetic and welcoming atmosphere conducive to building relationships with: participants at the site, peers, HCPs, Employment staff, DDS staff, family members, neighbors and community at large.

· Develop objectives, intervention strategies and data collection methods for the Individual’s ISP; train Support Specialists and supervise in implementation of such.

· Work together with the WCI Nursing and Clinical Teams to provide optimal services.

· Follow MAP Regulations and oversee and train staff in following MAP & DDS Regulations.

· Work with the WCI Nurse and HCPs to ensure optimal health.

· Provide ongoing training/role modeling to Direct Support/CNAs to ensure the proper implementation of Goals, Medical treatment/Nursing Protocols and Clinical Behavior Plans.

· Ensure staff are trained in Behavior Plans and BMMTPs, data collection, schedules, etc. to keep services relevant and optimal for individuals.

· Allocate staff resources to support the individuals in the Daily Schedule.

· Supervise and train Support Specialists

· Facilitate individual participation in hiring interviews and Staff Evaluations.

· Conduct bi-weekly supervision with all Support Specialists

· Assure that Human Rights are supported in all daily interactions (staff, Individuals, community members, employees). Train to be a Human Rights Advocate (or train a designee). Conduct monthly Human Rights training or assign a designee

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,752.00 - $55,000.00 per year

  • First Aid/CPR Certification (Required)
  • Driver's License (Required)
