$115,000-$150,000

POSITION OVERVIEW – Senior Procurement Specialist / Equipment Buyer
The Senior Procurement Specialist/Equipment Buyer located in Boise, ID is responsible for preparing bid documents, rf(x), and issuing purchase orders for large construction projects. Under direction from the Equipment and Materials Procurement Manager or Director of Procurement, they will be responsible for developing key procurement documents to be included in the rf(x) process and assisting in developing and assembling the procurement plan to meet project and business objectives. The Buyer will be responsible for issuing and administering any purchasing-related documents to support the Procurement Manager or Director Procurement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares purchasing documents.
- Handle SCR (supplier change requests)
- This person needs to manage already awarded work packages, managing delivery schedule, additions/deletions to equipment
- Reviews purchase requests for pertinent and accurate information, prepares and processes purchase orders for materials and equipment, and e-qualification of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintains proper documentation of the procurement processes such as purchase orders, work orders, and supplier agreements.
- Compliance with all applicable processes and procedures.
- Utilizes all related procurement software.
- Assists with the prequalification process for all bidders.
- Develop bidders list for approval, tracking, and administration.
- Supports the vendor selection and notification process.
- Supports the supplier qualification process.
- Maintains project procurement status logs, vendor databases, and correspondence.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Buying, Sourcing, etc.
- Equipment & materials buying experience
- Experience with awarding work packages
- Experience in managing clarification of bids
- Move through awards/post awards, change orders, every package
- Oracle experience plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Exceptional organization and coordination skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- EPC Experience (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related preferred.
- Experience working in Procurement in manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, high tech, or construction environment preferred.
- Experience working in projects in a construction/project environment preferred.
Salary : $115,000 - $150,000
