RN - Endoscopy - Local Contract

WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy to join a top-tier medical facility in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art setting, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Job Function

• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures, maintaining a sterile and efficient environment.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standings.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advance Life support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
• Specialty certification in GI Nursing is preferred.
