WDC Kitchen and Bath Center is looking for an HR Coordinator to join our team!
We are a luxury retailer of home appliances, outdoor kitchens, and plumping fixtures.
The HR Coordinator is responsible for administrative support and upholding high communication standards that improve the employee experience. This role’s success is directly supported and supervised by the Director of Human Resources. Job Summary Responsibilities
- Engage in WDC company culture that emphasizes our values in customer service, clear communication, and kind outlooks.
- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Assists with the employee life cycle process; collects offer letters/agreements, coordinates the processing of new hire paperwork, reference checks, onboarding new employees, enforces HR policies and practices, prepares timely performance evaluation forms, assists with voluntary terminations.
- Conducts some recruitment effort such as sourcing and screening resumes for qualified candidates and collaborating with hiring managers for scheduling interviews.
- Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
- Maintains personnel records for all employees.
- Participates in developing trainings, launching required training videos in LMS, and collecting training certificates once completed.
- Communicates benefit information to employees. Partner with benefits specialist when needed in communicating to employees, assist in reporting and changes affecting carrier invoices.
- Participates in pulling information needed for various reports (annual EEO-1 Reports, Vets 100 reports, compliance testing, etc.)
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
- Perform research in specific areas as requested
- Complete special assignments as needed, such as departmental audits, acquisitions, etc.
- Assists in other duties as needed and directed
EXPERIENCE/ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-4 years’ minimum experience in Human Resources.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
- Minimum High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to manage priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on active listening skills and maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices rooted in U.S. and California employment laws
- Proven skill in operation and utilization of software such as MS Office products i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- 9:30am-6:00pm / Monday - Friday
- Job Type: Full-time
COMPENSATION:
- Pay Range: $22.00- $25.00 / hour (starting)

Work Environment:
- This job operates in a professional office environment.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
