Architect Job Captain– Full Time
WDG | Architects Engineers is seeking an Architect Job Captain for their New Orleans Office.
Position Summary:
The Job Captain position includes a range of responsibilities related to architectural design, project management, and collaboration with other professionals in the construction industry. The Job Captain will report to the Project Architect and Project Manager.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop construction documents, and architectural concepts, create schematic designs, and assist in the production of design presentations.
- Assist in creating detailed architectural/ engineering drawings and construction documents using Revit & AutoCAD software. Ensure accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely completion of drawings.
Work closely with project managers and other team members to coordinate project activities, review design changes, and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and communication to gather requirements, present design ideas, and address client feedback.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers, contractors, and other consultants to integrate various project components, resolve design challenges, and ensure the successful execution of projects.
Skills/Specialized Knowledge:
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of three years of relevant architecture experience.
- Software experience: Revit and AutoCAD are required.
- License – preferred but not required.
Salary:
- Salary is commensurate with experience.
