Summary
The Manager of Tissue Recovery Services (MTRS) assists in developing and promoting the growth of the tissue recovery program, ensuring the consistency and quality of tissue recovery services outcomes, by providing direct supervision of tissue donor recovery staff and tissue recovery partner relationships, and all matters of recovery and determination of suitability of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and skin donors.

Summary
The Manager of Tissue Recovery Services (MTRS) assists in developing and promoting the growth of the tissue recovery program, ensuring the consistency and quality of tissue recovery services outcomes, by providing direct supervision of tissue donor recovery staff and tissue recovery partner relationships, and all matters of recovery and determination of suitability of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and skin donors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists with the writing of Standard Operating Procedures directly related to tissue recovery processes, and with ensuring and maintaining compliance with all accrediting association’s standards and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Achieves and maintains proficiency in all tissue recovery and donor suitability procedures.
- Regularly shares the responsibility of the Tissue Services Administrator on Call (TAOC) and assumes the role of the Tissue Recovery Coordinator(TRC) as necessary.
- Helps investigate all tissue-related adverse reactions and helps reporting all outcomes to the Tissue Recovery Director and/ or governing agencies and/or tissue recovery processors and customers.
- Provides assistance in documenting all tissue recovery-related customer complaints, customer service issues, and internal errors, accidents, omissions, etc. and assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Reviews all personnel issues with the Director of Tissue Recovery Services prior to taking final action with the employee.
- Works with the Tissue Recovery Educator in the planning, implementing, and delivering of tissue recovery training.
- Oversees the development of tissue recovery and donor suitability in-service programs with the Training Specialist.
- Works with the Recovery Educator to ensure all tissue recovery policies and procedures are followed and all TRST are trained appropriately and in a timely manner, and the qualified TRST are prepared for certification/ recertification by the AATB.
- Prepares and presents management reports and specific requested statistical reports.
- Conducts periodic TRST meetings to address tissue recovery issues and to present continuing education opportunities in relationship to tissue procurement, tissue transplantation, and donor suitability and ensures all meeting agendas and minutes are documented and filed.
- Serves on requested AATB committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BS degree required;
- Two (2) years of technical experience;
- Two (2) years of experience in a tissue recovery agency;
- One (1) year of management experience; or,
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
