Position Overview:We are seeking passionate college volunteers who are eager to grow as artists while contributing to a vibrant, faith-driven creative community. Volunteers will support event planning, marketing, and fundraising efforts while also providing valuable feedback to help us grow and improve. Events take place in person, with some planning sessions held online.

Qualifications

• Passionate about the arts and eager to grow in creative expression.

• Faith-driven with a desire to deepen your relationship with God.

• Willing to collaborate in both in-person events and online planning sessions.

• Teachable and open to mentorship in faith, creativity, and leadership.

• Available a minimum of 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with marketing efforts, including social media, promotions, and outreach

• Support fundraising initiatives to sustain and grow our community

• Participate in creative mentorship and learning opportunities

• Provide feedback and ideas to help improve our programs and events

• Attend and contribute to in-person events and online planning sessions

• Collaborate with fellow artists and community members

Studio Art

Roles:

• Visual Artist – Creates paintings, drawings, murals, or mixed media pieces inspired by faith and community themes.

• Illustrator – Develops artwork for digital and print projects, including collaborations with writers and fashion designers.

• Set & Prop Designer – Crafts physical elements for film projects, stage productions, and themed events.

• Live Art Performer – Paints or draws during events, collaborating with musicians, poets, and filmmakers.

Duties:

• Design artwork for event promotions, social media, and merchandise.

• Assist fashion designers with fabric painting, textile prints, or garment embellishments.

• Create illustrations for poetry books, short stories, and community projects.

• Design backdrops, props, and artistic installations for film and photography sessions.

• Contribute to exhibitions and collaborative art showcases.

Fashion Design

Roles:

• Fashion Designer – Creates clothing and accessories inspired by faith and artistic expression.

• Costume Designer – Designs costumes for film projects, photoshoots, and performances.

• Textile Artist – Develops custom prints, embroidery, and fabric manipulation techniques.

• Fashion Stylist – Curates looks for photoshoots, film projects, and live events.

Duties:

• Design and construct garments for collaborative photoshoots and film productions.

• Develop wearable art pieces inspired by themes explored in writing and visual art.

• Style models for creative projects that merge fashion, film, and storytelling.

• Partner with studio artists to create hand-painted or illustrated fabrics.

• Organize and participate in faith-based fashion shows or design showcases.

Writing

Roles:

• Creative Writer/Poet – Develops original poetry, short stories, and narratives to complement other artistic works.

• Screenwriter – Writes scripts for short films, interviews, and creative video projects.

• Copywriter & Blogger – Creates content for social media, marketing, and event promotions.

• Editorial Contributor – Assists in producing community magazines, anthologies, or newsletters.

Duties:

• Write poetry and short stories that inspire fashion collections, film concepts, and art installations.

• Develop scripts for short films and video projects featuring studio artists and designers.

• Assist in writing captions, articles, and promotional materials for events.

• Collaborate with illustrators to create faith-based storytelling projects.

• Edit and provide feedback for creative writing submissions within the community.

Film

Roles:

• Director – Oversees creative vision for video projects and short films.

• Cinematographer – Captures high-quality footage for storytelling projects.

• Editor – Edits film content, incorporating visual art, fashion, and writing elements.

• Production Designer – Creates the overall aesthetic for sets, costumes, and film environments.

• Photographer – Shoots promotional material, artistic portraits, and event documentation.

Duties:

• Direct and film creative projects that bring together art, fashion, and storytelling.

• Edit videos incorporating spoken word, illustrations, and fashion elements.

• Produce short films and video content that showcase faith-based themes.

• Photograph artists and designers at work, highlighting the creative process.

• Collaborate with writers and visual artists to create narrative-driven multimedia projects.

Collaborative Projects Across Disciplines

• Fashion & Film – Design and style costumes for short films and artistic photoshoots.

• Writing & Studio Art – Develop illustrated poetry books, graphic novels, or devotional art pieces.

• Film & Studio Art – Create short documentary-style videos showcasing the creative process of artists and designers.

• Fashion & Writing – Curate fashion collections inspired by poetic themes and written storytelling.

• All Disciplines – Organize multimedia exhibitions, faith-based fashion shows, or live performance events featuring spoken word, live painting, and music.
