Job Summary
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will be responsible for leading multiple web database development projects and managing projects toward successful delivery. The person in this role will be part of shaping and managing data driven projects that will be used across many industries.
Responsibilities will include working directly with client stakeholders to gather and analyze project and technical requirements and coordinating internal team efforts to ensure delivery of high-quality applications and releases.
The TPM is responsible for overseeing the full life-cycle of a project, from project definition and scope development through successful delivery, on time and on budget.
Job Description
- Manage database design and development projects from project definition through successful delivery
- Clearly capture, communicate, and document client requirements
- Responsible for developing wireframes/prototypes based on customer and team inputs (i.e. scopes of work)
- Develop project plans, scopes of work, JIRA tasks, and coordinating internal teams
- Serve as the bridge between internal teams (design, development, quality, delivery) and clients
- Communicate and collaborate with designers, developers, QA testers and other stakeholders to deliver quality projects on time and on budget
- Act as the point of contact for all customer, development, and design team project-related questions
- Perform the development of comprehensive test plans for Q/A reviews during all phases of a project’s life cycle
- Weekly communication of detailed project status to all project stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in managing complex technical projects, particularly in web application development with a focus on data-driven solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex business and technical requirements
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams (development, data science, design, etc.).
- Ability to understand technical requirements and communicate them effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, etc.).
- Must be a highly motivated self starter who likes to solve problems with technology solutions
- Must be customer focused, go the extra mile, be reliable/professional, and helpful to all team members
- Excellent Excel skills and an ability to review and comprehend data sets
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, and design collaboration tools like Figma.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
Major Plus (Not Required)
- Lives in the EST Time Zone
- Bachelor’s degree
- Familiarity with data-driven architecture and frameworks, including SQL databases, NoSQL, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), and data analytics tools.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI)
