What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Bus Dispatcher position at WE Business Management, Inc.?
Job Responsibility
- Coordinate and assign drivers, attendants and vehicles to regularly scheduled home-to-school runs, adult day program, special charters and field trips.
- Maintain routes, assist drivers and resolve schedule problems for the purpose of ensuring all routes are covered.
- Resolve and/or recommend solutions to incidents, complaints and/or accidents.
- Provide customer service calls and follow up.
- Prepare documentation (i.e. incident reports, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.
- Review GPS for payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate with automotive maintenance team for vehicle maintenance, repairs and DOT scheduling.
- Communicate with Safety Supervisors for safety related issues, disciplinary actions and follow up training classes.
- Communicate with 19A Supervisors to ensure driver and bus attendant compliance.
Qualification:
- One (1) year prior dispatching experience at a school bus company or equivalent preferred.
- Computer proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel).
- Possess excellent communication and customer service skills (both verbal and written).
- Good problem solver and strong abilities in crisis management.
- Organized and detailed work habits.
Starting Salary: $50,000.00
