Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic techniques. This role involves providing support and guidance to individuals facing mental health challenges, including those with autism, addiction issues, and other behavioral concerns. The Clinician will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and mental health counseling to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Implement behavior management strategies for clients with autism and other developmental disorders.
- Offer direct support and guidance to clients in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including hospital staff, to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Engage in Christian counseling when appropriate, integrating faith-based approaches into treatment plans.
- Document client progress accurately and maintain up-to-date records according to ethical standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid licensure or certification as required by state regulations.
- Experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on psychotherapy techniques.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is preferred.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling practices is a plus.
- Skills in coding for clinical documentation are advantageous.
- Experience or interest in alternative therapies such as dance therapy is welcomed but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in all interactions.
