Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patients’ conditions through patient observation.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
- Lift and transfer clients safely while adhering to proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.
- Administer CPR or first aid as needed in emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in memory care settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients.
- Ability to perform patient observation and recognize changes in health status promptly.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Physical capability to lift clients and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
