Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Launder clothing and linens as needed to maintain a clean living environment.
- Help clients with mobility, including lifting or transferring them safely when necessary.
- Document medical information accurately and maintain records of care provided.
- Support clients in engaging with their daily routines and activities to promote independence.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or assisted living is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities and the ability to provide empathetic support.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting clients when required.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and families.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on client needs and location of services provided.
