Job Description:
We Empower Home Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers/Personal Care attendants to provide exceptional care to individuals with disabilities and the elderly. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in promoting health, wellness, and independence within the comfort of our clients' homes.
Responsibilities:
Personalized Care: Provide compassionate and personalized care to clients with disabilities.
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist clients with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility, promoting independence whenever possible.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns promptly. Document observations, interventions, and client responses accurately and comprehensively.
Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a warm and nurturing environment that promotes overall well-being.
Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, following established safety protocols and infection control practices. Assist with light housekeeping tasks as needed.
Client Empowerment: Encourage and support clients in participating in activities and making decisions regarding their care and daily routines, promoting independence and autonomy.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the care team, including caregivers and family members, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience working with the elderly and/or individuals with disabilities in a home care setting is preferred but not required. We provide comprehensive training for all staff members.
Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care to individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, families, and members of the care team.
Reliability: Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting with transfers as needed to support client care.
Transportation: Reliable transportation must be available to clients' homes. Current Drivers license and car insurance.
Criminal Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening as required by state regulations.
