Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with mobility as needed.
- Support clients with memory care techniques to promote cognitive engagement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document daily activities and report any changes in clients' conditions to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or assisted living settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and patient care best practices.
- Familiarity with memory care strategies and direct support techniques is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or transferring clients as necessary.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and dignity.
- Certification in CPR or first aid is advantageous but not required.
