We are looking for a motivated and experienced dog groomer who is also interested in business operations and growth.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Mobile Groomer/Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will not only possess expertise in pet grooming but will also be someone the owner can collaborate with closely and trust to oversee daily operations to ensure the business runs smoothly.

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented and dedicated candidate who has a passion for animals and enjoys working independently. The successful candidate will have a growth-oriented mindset, always seeking ways to improve services, streamline operations, and expand the business. They will take initiative, think proactively, and operate with the company’s best interests at heart, ensuring both pets and customers receive top-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, thorough grooming services, including bathing, trimming and styling, to dogs ONLY.
Handle and care for animals in a safe and gentle manner, adhering to all safety protocols.
Maintain a clean, safe and organized environment, including cleaning and sanitizing the van, equipment and supplies.
Offer expert advice on pet care and maintenance to clients.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service, providing exceptional communication and interaction with clients and their pets, and addressing any concerns.
Stay up-to-date on the latest animal handling techniques and best practices.
Manage daily operations, including scheduling appointments, coordinating with clients, and overseeing the grooming process.
Inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Oversee payroll and basic financial tasks.
Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support marketing efforts, including community outreach.
Collaborate closely with the owner to develop and implement business strategies, marketing initiatives, and service improvements.
Assist with hiring and onboarding new team members.
Train and mentor junior groomers or assistants, fostering a supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a professional pet groomer. (Mobile grooming experience a plus).
Ability to safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
A passion for animal care and a deep understanding of various breeds and grooming techniques.
Ability to bend, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Strong management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills to interact positively with clients and their pets.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
Able and willing to drive grooming van.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
