Summary
The Group Facilitator will be responsible for Group facilitation in multiple areas of Mental Health and recovery; including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, stages of change, family dynamics, REBT, trauma, self-esteem, ACT, managing mental health and/or other topics related to the current population.
Requirements:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years working in a Mental Health.
- LMHC, LMHC Registered Intern, LCSW or Social Work Intern preferred.
- CPR Certification Required.
- Level 2 Background Required (AHCA/DCF)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates, manages, and facilitates group therapies and services.
- Ensures that group curriculum meets subject and topic expectation.
- Provides one to one peer coaching.
- Facilitates guidance and discussion regarding rehabilitation, therapy, recovery, 12 steps, behavioral redirection, and other recovery subjects as needed.
- Demonstrates the ability to function as a member of, and in collaboration with, a multidisciplinary team to develop services and assist with, and support achievement of positive results for patients.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the principles and traditions of 12 step recovery.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of a variety of models and theories of addiction, mental illness, and related issues.
- Ensures that all interactions, interventions, and communications are properly and promptly documented in the medical record or other appropriate documentation tool as required.
- Other duties as required to address operational needs.
