Summary:
The Recovery Coach Department is a positive reinforcement, to insure Client’s active participation in treatment. Recovery Coach Program will provide clients with an understanding regarding the disease of addiction/alcoholism, introducing the twelve steps of AA/NA, and personal development. A Recovery Coach will offer motivational support and encouragement in which clients will actively participate in a structured “Treatment Action Plan.”
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR Certification required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Certified Addiction Counselor CAC preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the organization’s day to day program and activities related to recovery services.
- Provides support and assistance to the case management and other departments to ensure proper coordination of care, treatment, and services.
- Facilitates group activities as scheduled and/or needed.
- Supports organization’s AMA/ACA activities and interventions.
- Facilitates organization’s process related to crisis intervention.
- Educates and manages clients’ learning process of the 12-step system.
- Provides ongoing care, treatment, services, and support during the entirety of their shift as needed to ensure clinical and operational flow.
- Provides support and motivation to clients.
- Ensures that all interactions, interventions, and communications are properly and promptly documented in the medical record or other appropriate documentation tool as required.
- Recovery Coach will provide group assignments, follow a group schedule, and conduct one-on-one check in's.
- Recovery Coach will assist in encouraging clients to follow clinical recommendations.
- Other duties as required to address operational needs.
