Summary
As a 1099 Contractor - Mortgage and Insurance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and assessments of properties to evaluate their condition and compliance with industry standards. Reporting to the project manager, your core skills in analysis and organization will be essential in documenting findings accurately. Utilizing your premium skills in risk analysis and fraud prevention, you will help ensure the integrity of the inspection process. Strong communication skills and familiarity with mobile applications will enhance your ability to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mortgage and insurance inspections on residential properties as assigned.
- Assess the condition of homes, including evaluating the structure, appliances, and any potential risks related to insurance or mortgage coverage.
- Take clear and accurate photos of properties and document findings using a provided inspection app or report format.
- Communicate effectively with homeowners to schedule inspections and obtain necessary access to properties.
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures and client requirements.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during inspections and when communicating with clients.
- Submit inspection reports in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience in inspections required; however, previous experience in real estate, construction, or similar fields is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot potential issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with homeowners and clients.
- Reliable transportation to visit properties.
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.
- Ability to use mobile apps and online systems to submit reports.
- Must be able to pass a background check (for insurance purposes).
