The ideal candidate for this position has experience working both independently and as a member of a fast-moving, high-performing team.
Nautilus is looking for an Apparel Technician to join the Manufacturing Team. The ideal candidate has excellent experience in clothing construction and textiles and will play a crucial role in designing and constructing clothing samples. All work will need to be performed here at Nautilus Defense using our machinery and no work will be permitted to leave the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to sew various apparel products starting from cut pieces to completed garment.
- Complete all projects on time while maintaining all requirements.
- Report machine malfunctions immediately to Manufacturing lead.
- Ability to identify potential problems that may affect prototyping or production difficulties, including material challenges, pattern issues, stitching difficulties & any construction problems found during the creating of the prototype.
- Clean the machines to ensure proper functioning when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized shared workspace
- Collaborate with designers and other team members to ensure seamless production processes
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or certifications in garment design and construction.
- Experienced in pattern making, cutting skills, sewing, and stitching techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant software and machinery.
- Basic garment production management and quality control experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent ability to listen, action, and follow up.
- Possess design and communications skills needed to develop patterns, teach, and communicate to others.
- Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered.
Salary
$60,000 - $65,000 per year
