Position Overview:
The Quality Technician will be a key player in the production floor and quality team. The QC tech is responsible for enforcing GMPs, ensuring that all products meet the customers specifications, perform inspections of product, and verify quality of finished goods are met. This role requires attention to detail, strategic thinking, and the ability to understand the specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with other members of the team to ensure the quality of all finished goods
- Perform inspections of materials, products, and paperwork to verify compliance with specifications.
- Create and maintain accurate and complete records of work performed.
- Participate in internal department audits as assigned.
- Perform ATP swabs.
- Perform Process Quality Inspections on assigned production lines by specified time.
- Perform seal test (wet and dry)
- Initiate action for recording an NCR report to prevent the reoccurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process, and quality system.
- Verify and ensure the documentation of the solutions to quality system conformance problems.
- Perform lot breakdown reports and verify pallets released by Production personnel.
- Perform line clearance inspections, lot clearances, and 1st piece inspections.
- Verify finished goods products labels once Productions creates them.
- Apply approval, rejection, or quarantine labels according to the product disposition.
- Notify Line Leads, Production Supervisors, and Quality Supervisors promptly when non-conformances are identified.
- Perform quality checks for foreign material with the verification of mesh screens, detectors, etc.
- Enter HOLD/quarantine product information into the Deacom database and supervise moving non- conforming products to the designated quarantine areas.
- Complete material destruction reports.
- Verify pallets for shipping to customer by performing specified quality test on random finished cases such as count verification, label conformity, seal conformity, lot code and expiration verification, etc.
- Assists in the development of quality control specifications and procedures.
- Knowledge and awareness of special equipment used in quality checks and test performance.
- Verify calibration of equipment.
- Know and support the Company Quality Policy and Objectives.
- Adhere to all GMP and Product Safety requirements.
- Use of visual, auditory or special protective equipment (e.g., hairnet, beard net (if applicable), and gloves)
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
- Identify and corrects hazards; comply with all safety policies and best practices.
- Maintain company attendance standards.
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., weekends and holidays)
- Effective communication skills.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
