Summary
The Midwife (CNM) assists patients in labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care. Provides professional care for patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs. Ensures safety and health of mother and child and identifies need for additional care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
- Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
- Current Approval to Practice granted by the NC Midwifery Joint Committee OR meets qualifications for Approval to Practice pending Physician Supervision requirement.
- Graduate degree in Nursing or Midwifery
