Production Team Leader

Job Summary:

The Production Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves supervising production staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management:

• Oversee and coordinate production activities to meet output goals.
• Monitor workflow, production schedules, and efficiency metrics.
• Ensure equipment and machinery are operating properly.
• Identify and resolve production issues promptly.

2. Team Supervision & Leadership:

• Supervise, train, and mentor production team members.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities based on skills and production needs.
• Foster a positive and motivated work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

3. Quality Control & Compliance:

• Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

4. Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Implement lean manufacturing and cost-saving initiatives.
• Work closely with management to drive continuous improvement.

5. Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Analyze production data and provide insights to improve operations.
• Report issues and progress to upper management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) (required).
• Email management and professional communication
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills (Bilingual preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or production environment
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 10 (preferred).
• Forklift Driver Certification (required).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety practices.
• Must be able to wear a Hazmat Suit and Full-Face Respirator (required).

Work Environment:

• Exposure to loud machinery, dust and temperature variations.
• Requires safety gear such as gloves, goggles, ear protection, Hazmat Suit and Full-Face Respirator.
• Fast-paced manufacturing/production setting.
• May involve working evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime based on demand.

Other Duties:

• Assist with special projects and other tasks assigned by management.
• Collaborate with areas to ensure smooth plant operations.

Job Type: Full-time
