Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our project bidding process, ensuring that our proposals are competitive, accurate, and aligned with our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project scope.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best pricing and quality.
- Review and revise estimates based on changes in project scope or specifications.
- Assist in preparing bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators and support their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of forged products and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
