Senior Estimator – Commercial Construction

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preconstruction phase, ensuring projects are accurately estimated and aligned with client expectations and budgets. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial projects.
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, and clients to develop accurate budgets.
- Performing quantity takeoffs and analyzing blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Soliciting and evaluating bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Preparing bid proposals and attending pre-bid meetings.
- Staying up to date on market trends, labor costs, and material pricing.
- Assisting in value engineering efforts to maximize client value.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years in estimating roles within the construction industry, with a focus on residential and/or commercial projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, ProEst, or similar), Excel, and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market trends.
- Analytical Abilities: Exceptional attention to detail with strong math and analytical skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively interact with team members, clients, and vendors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are a plus (e.g., LEED AP, PMP).
