Job Overview:
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical installations in commercial and industrial projects. This role involves analyzing plans, pricing materials and labor, and collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs and apply pricing for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to gather competitive quotes.
- Update and maintain the estimating database, ensuring accurate cost data.
- Assist project managers in aligning estimates with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Review estimates from subcontractors and vendors to ensure scope alignment.
- Develop and submit bid packages for competitive tenders.
- Support project teams during the construction phase with budgeting and cost analysis.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to streamline the bidding process.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and estimating best practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ConEst, Accubid, Bluebeam).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
