Job Summary:
Weakley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry and Housekeeping Aide to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a compassionate attitude, and a commitment to upholding high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing resident rooms and common areas.
Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry, ensuring proper handling of resident belongings.
Maintain and replenish housekeeping and laundry supplies as needed.
Follow infection control and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Assist with disposing of trash and soiled linens according to facility protocols.
Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
Provide friendly and courteous service to residents and staff.
Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in housekeeping and/or laundry services, preferably in a healthcare setting, is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to follow safety and infection control guidelines.
Compassionate and respectful attitude toward residents and staff.
