Highrise Group NY is seeking a Licensed Engineer or Architect to serve as our key professional for approving and sealing project plans on a project-based, remote basis. This role is tailored for a seasoned professional who prefers minimal operational involvement, leveraging their New York State license to provide approvals while earning significant per-project fees and a percentage of the company’s sale proceeds upon exit within 24 months. Ideal candidates are experienced professionals (or highly motivated newcomers) who can commit exclusively to Highrise Group NY for licensure activities. The role requires no in-office presence, offering full flexibility to work from home, and focuses primarily on providing the professional seal for compliance with NYC regulations, with no expectation of drafting or operational duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional engineering or architectural seal on project plans to ensure compliance with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) and other regulatory requirements.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy and adherence to NYC building codes and zoning regulations.
• Collaborate remotely with project managers and expediters to facilitate timely permit approvals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NYC building codes, landmarks preservation, and environmental regulations (or willingness to consult provided resources).
• Commit exclusively to Highrise Group NY for all professional licensure and sealing activities.
• Support the firm’s strategic exit plan by ensuring all projects meet regulatory standards, potentially assisting with minimal documentation for due diligence during the sale process.
• Provide timely responses to project approval requests, typically requiring minimal time commitment per project.

Qualifications

• Required: Valid Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license in the state of New York.
• No specific professional experience required; suitable for newly licensed professionals or seasoned experts seeking a low-effort, high-reward role.
• Ability to commit exclusively to Highrise Group NY for all professional licensure and sealing activities.

Compensation and Benefits
