Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong expertise in project management, specifically in earthwork and concrete jobs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion in a non-union environment. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring that they meet both client expectations and company goals. As a Senior Project Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and work closely with the operations team to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead earthwork and concrete construction projects from initiation through to successful completion, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to budgets, and project scope.
- Act as the main liaison between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing while maintaining project quality.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the projects are being executed in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any project issues, including scheduling delays, material shortages, or safety concerns.
- Provide regular updates and status reports to senior management on project progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Coordinate with various departments (e.g., HR, procurement, and engineering) to ensure smooth project operations.
- Monitor and control project financials, ensuring that projects remain within budget and that financial records are properly maintained.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with specific experience in earthwork and concrete projects.
- Strong proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
- Solid understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
