Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman/Supervisor to oversee construction projects. Weapons of Mass Construction is a 100% 5-star rated company, and we are looking to expand our horizons by hiring a new foreman/supervisor in order for us to take on more work. This foreman needs to know a great deal of construction well, and have the ability and patience to teach other employees how to properly perform tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management (7 years ) and will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality of standards. This role requires effective leadership skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. I will be expecting this candidate to be able to show up on time everyday, figure materials needed, ensure other employees are installing materials correctly, and to communicate with customers in a professional manner when needed. Spanish and English canidates are encouraged to call me. I will also expect this candidate to be able to follow instructions and apply them properly. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage project schedules and employees to work with customers and inclement weather.
- Ensure that employees are showing up on time and are completing work in a timely manner, with high quality standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that work meets specified standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including employee hours, daily logs, and reports. Submit these logs to me at the end of the week.
- Implement OSHA guidelines to promote a safe working environment for all team members.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry. (references)
- Strong knowledge of construction management practices, including budgeting and quality control. (testing required)
- Experience in managing teams effectively while maintaining high standards of work quality.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. (Spanish Encouraged)
