Summary: Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Department Lead is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Assembly Press department and the timely movement of all products to meet company revenue goals. The Department Lead is responsible for managing the workload and deadlines of the Departmental Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates a hydraulic press
- Operates a tolerance machine
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Processes jobs and requests according to specifications and deadlines
- Reviews work to ensure quality meets high accuracy standards
- Completes all necessary documentation and reports timely and accurately.
- Oversees new-hire and ongoing training of the departmental team in accordance with established practices.
- Ensures and maintains OSHA safety compliance.
- Performs all prescribed inventory control methods according to company standards.
- Familiar and able to operate and check power equipment, including forklift, and able to train where applicable.
- Maintain high morale in the workplace.
- Lead daily huddles with departmental team to ensure common direction.
- Follows all company policies to ensure safety of all employees.
- Partner with HR and/or Operations Manager to conduct disciplinary actions when performance and attendance issues arise
- Collaborate with other department leads and management to ensure smooth operations and effective cross-functional communication
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3 years of Warehouse or Operations Experience Preferred
- 3 years of Leadership Experience Preferred
- CDL preferred
