Description
As a full-time, paid Human Resources Intern at Weasler Engineering, you will have the opportunity to act as an HR business partner for the organization. You will gain hands-on experience in HR processes including recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, and more. You will gain knowledge of HRIS systems, company policies and procedures as well as partner cross functionally with other internal departments. You will provide valuable support in carrying out the day-to-day HR activities of an organization. This internship will provide exposure to a union manufacturing plant while also supporting other CentroMotion businesses remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with company wide HR initiatives and plant wide communication boards.
- Participate in recruiting and onboarding efforts including orientations.
- Process HRIS system transactions and timekeeping tasks related to payroll.
- Assist with retention/headcount tracking and business reports.
- Support and help coordinate employee engagement opportunities.
- Address employee inquiries including those related to benefits, payroll, timekeeping, etc.
- Administrative duties including employee file maintenance, mailings, etc.
- Assist with other day-to-day HR generalist tasks as required.
Requirements
- Student of Junior or Senior standing, working towards a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Ability to thrive and be part of a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point) required.
- Ability to effectively interact with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and time management experience.
- Ability to handle confidential materials with discretion and accuracy.
- Willing to be located onsite at Weasler Engineering in West Bend, WI.
