What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Education ESL Instructor (Mineral Wells location) position at Weatherford Independent School District?
Schedule: 8 hrs. per week, TU/TH evenings, 5:15 - 9:15 p.m. (includes 1 hr. prep & counseling time)
Hourly Rate: $25
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide instruction in the English language to limited English proficient adults
including oral language, reading and writing skills; and include integrated civics lessons.
QUALIFICATIONS: (Education/Certification)
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university required; valid Texas Teaching certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated ability to teach English as a Second Language face-to-face and/or via a virtual remote but live
format, in a dynamic interactive and engaging manner Ability to differentiate instruction for different
levels of learners, ability to complete paperwork effectively and document student successes; excellent
organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
