MANUFACTURING PRODUCTION SCHEDULER/PLANNER

The Manufacturing Scheduler is responsible for ensuring the timely execution of production activities on ship floor by creating, monitoring, and adjusting the production schedule in line with demand and capacity constraints.

OPERATIONS

• Date manage new orders as per procedure

• Revise pick date, ship date and ship date as per production meetings

• Raise work order, communicate with production/workshop/buyers/machine shop to ensure all necessary work is completed

• Identify key list of orders and chase up with buyers and planners on these daily

• Communicate with vendors for key purchase order items as well

• Any other tasks requested by the planning supervisor/manager or the manufacturing manager
  

COMMUNICATION

• Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

• Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports
  

FINANCIAL

• All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses

• Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

• 7-10 years planning/scheduling experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.

• College degree in business or technical discipline preferred
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED

• Strong organization and time-management skills.

• Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

• Good understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), shop floor, work order, and routings.

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with all departments to ensure positive results.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Power BI is a plus.

• Working knowledge of JDE or other major Enterprise systems.
