Job Overview
Weatherford is seeking an experienced and driven MPD Wells Manager to lead our Managed Pressure Wells initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and standardizing the engineering and design processes for Managed Pressure Wells. You will set guidelines aligned with industry’s best practices and customer demands, establishing engineered solutions that deliver both technical and economic value to our clients' operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving the growth and adoption of Managed Pressure Wells across all applications.
Requirements
- Define and standardize the engineering and design processes for Managed Pressure Wells, ensuring alignment with industry’s best practices and customer needs.
- Establish engineered solutions that demonstrate technical and economic value to customers' operations.
- Develop a strategic Wells Engineering Strategy, creating a new revenue stream built on our leading technologies and software for Managed Pressure Wells.
- Foster cross-product line synergies to enhance our capabilities and advance our engineered solutions.
Education
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
- A Master's degree in Drilling Engineering or a related subject is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in Operations.
- Strong background in drilling engineering and project management.
- Proven experience in managing and leading internal resources as well as external contracting resources.
- Extensive knowledge of Managed Pressure Drilling technologies, with emphasis on drilling and well engineering.

- Proven innovation skills with the ability to realize and develop engineered solutions.
- Excellent technical problem-solving abilities.
- Strong project management skills, including project accountability and cost management.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple project activities simultaneously and coordinate with various departments and external companies.
Travel Requirement
This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to 25-50%.
