Weatherly Inn is looking for the right candidate to supervise the care staff in our beautiful Memory Care community. Must have a valid WA State CNA certification. The right individual has management experience, is dependable, flexible, conscientious, teachable, a team player and must have a clean background. A flexible schedule without other obligations is key in this role as you may be called upon to fill in on all shifts when needed. Experience working with/around the senior population is a plus. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Basic essentials of the position)
- Learn special needs of residents and report changes in behavior (physical or emotional) to nursing.
- Be familiar with and follow Employee Handbook, Performance Expectations, specific job duties, State Boarding Home Regulations and TWI Nursing Policy and Procedures.
- Able to receive/return routine phone calls from TWI within 24 hours; urgent within 4.
- Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to maintenance or supervisor.
- Report immediately any on the job injury to supervisor or charge nurse.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform caregiver duties approximately 50% of time, especially during meal periods.
- Train, observe and mentor all new caregivers.
- In-service caregivers weekly.
- Oversee and complete scheduling of all memory care caregivers.
- Order, monitor and maintain adequate nursing supplies.
- Meet daily with Memory Care Manager to discuss current happenings and PPDs.
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents and family.
- Cover shifts as needed.
- Spot check flow sheets daily to assure completion and signature; audit flow sheets every Friday.
- Check rooms daily and help staff as needed with transfers and getting residents up. Monitor safety issues (ensuring proper storage of unsafe/hazardous materials) and oversee resident personal care items and clothing to prevent co-mingling.
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, in service, evaluate, discipline and recommend pay adjustments and termination for caregiving staff.
- Daily supervision of caregiving staff.
- Assist with Memory Care activities.
- Resident escorts as needed.
- Call or fax State Hotline when you observe or reasonably suspect abuse, neglect or exploitation and inform supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
