Weatherly Inn Assisted Living is seeking an experienced candidate to fill a full-time position in our Housekeeping Dept. as a laundry technician. Would be responsible for washing, drying, folding/hanging resident's personal laundry and well as sheets, towels and linens.

JOB SKILLS (Abilities essential to the job.)
- Read, write, speak and understand English.
- Lift 40 pounds and carry 40 pounds.
- Push 250 pound resident in wheelchair or cart of same weight.
- Sit, stand, walk, squat, and bend at waist multiple times a shift.
- Perform repetitive arm/hand movements and reach above shoulder.
- Proficient at operating: extractor, vacuum, washer, drier, iron, carts, mop/bucket.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: GED or High School graduation preferred.
- Experience: 1 year preferred in same or job related field preferred.
- Proficient at repetitive tasks, organization.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Basic essentials of the position)
- Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to maintenance or supervisor.
- Report immediately any on the job injury to supervisor or charge nurse.
- Be familiar with and follow Employee Handbook, Performance Expectations and specific job duties.
- Able to receive/return routine phone calls from TWI within 24 hours; urgent within 4.
- Learn to know special needs of residents and report changes in behavior (physical or emotional) to nursing.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick up and launder all facility linens.
- Pick up resident laundry on assigned days.
- Launder resident personal laundry as directed.
- Deliver clean facility linens and resident clothing to appropriate areas.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.75 per hour
